Asolo is one of the most beautiful and well preserved medieval hilltop towns both of Veneto and Italy, a charming village tucked away in a bucolic and timeless landscape, a few steps from the Prosecco and Valdobbiadene wine routes and an excellent starting point to Venice, Treviso, Vicenza and other destinations in Veneto, Italy.

This charming 1600s noble mansion who hosted celebrities of the likes of Marcello Mastroianni, Orson Wells, Barbra Streisand, is located in a lovely corner of Asolo, an oasis of beauty and peace blessed with a magnificent view on the surrounding hills, just a few steps from the main square of this Veneto’s medieval hamlet.

In 1889 the villa was bought by the British writer Robert Browning. In the early ‘50s the property passed to the Irish beer makers Guinnes family – which used to vacation in the nearby Prosecco wine hills.
Later on Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of the celebre Harry’s Bar in Venice (beloved by Ernest Hemingway) was commissioned to turn the country house into a fine boutique hotel.
Today the hotel has very nice rooms furnished with fine antiques, and a gourmet restaurant.
Be ready to enjoy your breakfast and dinner in the romantic terrace embellished with plants and flowers, with a special view on the surrounding hills dotted with vineyards and olive trees. Just perfect for a romantic getaway away from the crowd!

This elegant hotel in Asolo is on average superbly rated by guests.
It is considered a very comfortable and welcoming hotel, with spacious rooms equipped with modern comforts, paying great attention to details – like the personalized bathrooms with fine Tuscan ceramics - and blessed with a romantic view on the square and Castle (Rocca di Asolo).
The exclusive attic suite room at the topfloor is dedicated to Freya Stark, the British travel-writer who spent part of her life in Asolo (she’s buried in the local cemetery).
You can enjoy your breakfast in the lovely veranda, and your dinner in the fine restaurant.

On average superbly rated by guests as well, this reasonably priced hotel has with no doubt a great price/quality relationship.
It’s about a very elegant and completely refurbished (with a lot of wood) 1700s country house tucked away in the sweet hills of Asolo, just 20 minutes by foot to the historic center.
It features a perfect blend between old style and modern comforts, and pays a great attention to energy efficiency. The hotel – finely and tastefully furnished - is surrounded by a splendid garden. An excellent and very rich buffet breakfast is served in the morning.
Seriously, if you wish to pamper yourself without forgetting your pockets, have a look at this spectacular hotel!
